Harry Corrow Freedom Run
On July 3rd, Newport kicks off its week-long Aquafest celebration with the newly expanded Harry Corrow Freedom Run. We celebrate Freedom from Tyranny (of the asphalt) by offering
a 15 mile (largely) trail run along the bike path. We celebrate Democracy by offering Choice (of routes) by offering three courses: 1 mile, 5K, and 10 mile runs. And we
honor Harry Corrow, a long time and dedicated leader of Newport’s Parks and Recreation Department.
Proceeds from the run support youth recreational activities in Newport and at IROC.
All runs start and end at Prouty Beach in Newport. For maps of the courses click on the route:

The cost varies depending on your age and on the route you choose to run:
All runners under the age of 21: $15
Runners 21 and older in the 1 mile and the 5K: $25
Runners 21 and older in the 10 mile run: $35
